Peaceful Protest at Longstreet Farm in Holmdel

This is an opportunity to expose Longstreet Farm for what it truly is. We will have plenty of signs and there will be hundreds of people attending their festival whose eyes we will hopefully open!

We will be at the intersection of Longstreet Farm and Roberts Road in Holmdel. This is the entrance to the Homdel Park closest to Longstreet Farm. We will be able to park inside the park at this entrance.

Catelli Bros. Slaughterhouse – Vigil # 4

Let’s keep raising awareness in Shrewsbury that a calf and lamb slaughterhouse that was recently shut down for inhumane treatment is open again right in their midst. There is no question that when people drive by and see our group of close to 50 activists, it makes an impression. Please join us and bring your family and friends.

While we cannot guarantee parking, the office building right next door, at 750 Broad Street, has a very large parking lot and most of their offices are closed on Sundays.

Jersey Shore Festival

We will be at the Jersey Shore Festival this Sat and Sun from noon to 7pm both days. If you have some time, come join us at the NJFAS table. We will be giving out free samples of gardein chick’n tenders and paying people 1$ to watch farm to fridge’s 4 minute video.

Want to extend your day of activism?
Join us for leafletting in downtown Red Bank after our 2nd vigil at Catelli Bros this Sun.
We’ll meet at 2:30 in the White Street Parking Lot (for GPS – use 36 White Street, Red Bank, NJ, which is an adjacent lot for Bow Tie Cinemas).
There will be plenty of time to stop at Dean’s Natural Market at 490 Broad Street in Shrewsbury to refuel on the way. They have an organic juice bar, a salad bar, and vegan wraps and sandwiches.

PLEASE JOIN US AT OUR TWO UPCOMING EVENTS

Saturday April 19, 12:00pm – 2:00pm – we will be leafletting at McDonalds, 574 Milltown Road in North Brunswick. Since it is the day before Easter, perhaps people will make the connection between the animals on our signs and the ham they may eat the next day.  We have plenty of signs and leaflets, but you are welcome to bring your own as well.
After leafletting, we will be heading over to Bicentennial Park to have snacks and the chance to get to know each other and talk about future plans for NJ FAS. The park is less than 3 miles away at 176 Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick. When you drive into the park, go straight to the end and park near the sign for Grove B. There are picnic tables there overlooking the water. We will have drinks and some vegan snacks. Please feel free to bring anything you want to contribute.

And Sunday May 4 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm we will hold our 2nd vigil at Catelli Brothers Slaughterhouse at 760 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ.  The press is very interested, the public is becoming aware – let’s show them we are not backing down.  Please come join us!  We have plenty of signs but feel free to make/bring your own if you prefer!
